About Thomas & Koo ...

Thomas and Koo are Highcliffe based artists.

Having discovered the beauty of the Dorset coast many years
ago, the whole family decided to relocate from Kent.

Since retiring, Tom has taken to the brush and has been
recording scenes of natural beauty around the areas of Mudeford, Christchurch, Lymington and the Isle of Wight. He is a natural, but modest artist, having attended the Camberwell School of Art in his younger years.

Tom likes to experiment with his working style and specialises in watercolours, but also works with pastels, acrylics and pencil
drawings and has been recognised for his outstanding works.

Koo has always had a creative flair and has studied photography, lino-cutting, screen printing, pottery and soft furnishings.

Since moving to Highcliffe, Koo has spent lots of time
bringing up the children and working in local schools as a Teaching Assistant and Art Technician. She has lately been spending more time on art projects and always likes to challenge herself with something new. Koo enjoys painting in acrylics (her favourite medium) and fabric printing.

A vibrancy of colour can be seen throughout her works.

About sizing ...

Reference measurements are taken from the inside back of the frame.

Our frames have a 28mm (approx. 1in) wide border and are
fitted with 2mm glass and an MDF backing with hanging bracket.

When purchasing a framed picture, the measurement mentioned in the selection dropdown refers to the inside back of the frame (see diagram) … we generally provide frames with the following measurements:

Inside back measurement 12in x 16in = outside frame size 13.75in x 17.75in

Inside back measurement 16in x 20in = outside frame size 17.75in x 21.75in

Inside back measurement 8in x 16in = outside frame size 9.75in x 17.75in

Inside back measurement 10in x 10in = outside frame size 11.75in x 11.75in

Inside back measurement 16in x 16in = outside frame size 17.75in x 17.75in

If you select an unmounted or mounted print where (for
example) 'Size to fit frame' is 12 x 16 inches, the print / mount provided will fit a 12in x 16in frame (i.e. measurements referring to the inside back of
frame).
